Harris Ranch, a premium beef processor based in Selma, CA, features Cookhouse Classics fully cooked microwaveable beef entrees. Available in 1- and 2-lb servings, each entrée is contained in an inner cooking bag and placed in a thermoformed tray that’s covered with a matte-finish lidstock and EZ Peel® opening, supplied by Curwood, Inc. Cookhouse Classics packaging carries branding graphics, cooking instructions and nutrition information on the lidstock, eliminating the need for a paperboard sleeve or box. The package creates a billboard effect for Harris Ranch’s variety of products by eliminating glare from retail display shelves, due to the matte finish. The lidstock consists of a 48-ga oriented polyester film with eight-color reverse-printed graphics, laminated to a coextruded white EVOH and the EZ Peel sealant layer.
