Machines have digital signal processing for detection of ferrous and nonferrous metal including stainless steel in contaminated packages and products. Systems are available in custom-sized rectangular, pipeline, and gravity-feed apertures. Each has automatic set-up, operation, self-test and diagnostics, multiple-product changeovers, compensation for “product affect,” and modular electronics.
