Nulogy expands to Latin America for “digital transformation” in supply chains
22 Aug 2023 --- Supply chain solution specialist Nulogy has expanded its market reach to Latin America (LATAM) to support FMCG contract packaging providers with digitalization-boosting technology. The company says the move will help drive agility and efficiency across production floors and improve collaboration with their customers and suppliers.
“We’re pleased to be expanding our operations to better serve LATAM, where market leaders are ready to reap the benefits of digitalization to drive their businesses forward,” says Jason Tham, CEO at Nulogy.
“Many of our enterprise customers with facilities worldwide are turning their attention to the LATAM region as a focal point for digital transformation. In such heterogeneous markets, contract packaging businesses boom, driven by the need to customize products for a diverse base. Our solutions are purpose-built to service that need and to help contract packaging businesses drive profitability and growth.”
Luis Cordero, head of supply chain solutions for LATAM, adds that the company is excited to see the growth and traction of contract packaging and manufacturing in LATAM and is “looking forward to engaging with leaders in the space as we expand our footprint and ready ourselves to better serve the region.”
“After years of working with our customers to enable them with Nulogy solutions, I am looking forward to leading our expansion in LATAM with an increased focus on driving digital transformation in this market,” says Cordero.
At this year’s Interpack trade show in Düsseldorf, Germany, automation and digitalization were key topics across all of the event’s 17 halls.
“We currently see a big movement and investment in [digitalization and automation],” Adam Langer, director of sales and business development, EMEA at Balluff, told Packaging Insights.
“Digitalization is a buzzword for some companies, but they want to break it down. I see a lot of investments [in digitalization] like we saw in the automotive industry in the last year. And revamping [the packaging processes] means bringing the machines and the production to another level to get higher productivity and fewer failures.”
