A variety of nuts for the busy consumer is now on the Danish market in SuperLock containers from RPC Superfos. The snack company Snackfoods has chosen this packaging solution for its 'On the Road' range of gourmet snacks because it is cost effective and looks great. Consumer reaction has been very positive and the company relates part of this success to the packaging.
"Our product is a sales success and the packaging is definitely a part of the reason why we're doing so well," says managing director Jens Kjeldskov from Snackfoods. "The sales have continued to be great even after the campaign period. In my view it's nothing special to bring a new product to the market and sell great during a campaign; the challenge is to keep on selling after the launch. We have done so, and are very happy about it."
In the process of considering new packaging, Snackfoods thought of opting for tins but instead chose SuperLock because it looks better and is a cost efficient solution. These are the main reasons in the eyes of Jens Kjeldskov, but he also appreciates that consumers can easily open and re-close the container.
"The mixed nuts are very well presented in SuperLock," he adds. "We are absolutely pleased with the way our product is exposed to consumers on shelf in the stores. SuperLock signals something special and this matches our gourmet snacks."
The six varieties of gourmet snacks are packed in SuperLock ø 95 mm 400 ml. The container has a very low oxygen transmission rate and offers long shelf life. It comes with a twist-off lid and offers practically endless decoration options.
Gourmet Snacks - On the Road can be found in convenience stores and at petrol stations.
