The SW-5000 shrink-wrapping machine features the Self-Threader(R) forming head, which produces centered lap seals without setup adjustment and has a quick-disconnect feature that facilitates fast changeovers. Capable of speeds of up to 75 packages/min, the machine is designed for zero-maintenance. It comes with a static emitter and has an optional hot block available to close the lap seal. Its Ever-Clean(tm) end-seal system is equipped with a seal bar that cuts and seals with separate heated surfaces and is maintenance-free. The flight-lug infeed provides control of products, and quick-change pins allow the entire infeed conveyor to be rapidly setup for new product dimensions. The machine accepts packages ranging in size from 3 x 1 1/2 x 0.125 in. to 40 x 15 x 6 in. All setup parameters are displayed on a color touchscreen LCD control panel that’s mounted on a swing-arm, allowing the machine to be operated from either side. The control has three levels of password-protected access, and up to 16 setups can be stored in memory.
