THE world's first paper milk bottle is being launched at the Asda store in Yeovil on May 28 with the help of the Mayor and Mayoress.
GreenBottle is made out of paper, with just a thin plastic liner to hold liquid, and has one third of the plastic and a much smaller carbon footprint than plastic bottles.
The paper outer is biodegradable, compostable and recyclable, and the plastic inner can be recycled.
Yeovil Mayor, Cllr Phil Chandler, and the Mayoress, Linda Jones, will be at the store at 10am on May 28 to meet Asda shoppers eager to get their hands on revolutionary invention.
