Pittsburgh Brewing to introduce I.C. Light in aluminum packaging
The thermodynamic properties of aluminum and the thickness of the container wall make the aluminum bottle chill faster than any other commercial beverage package in the marketplace.
19/04/05 Following the highly publicized debut of Iron City Premier Lager in aluminum bottles, Pittsburgh Brewing Company (PBC) recently announced that it will now use aluminum packaging for a special limited edition of the I.C. Light brand. The aluminum bottles were developed and produced by CCL Container, North America's leading producer of impact-extruded aluminum packaging.
The limited edition I.C. Light bottle celebrates legendary Pittsburgh-area native, Arnold Palmer. Package graphics feature the gold I.C. Light logo on the front, and an image of Palmer in mid-swing on the back.
The thermodynamic properties of aluminum and the thickness of the container wall make the aluminum bottle chill faster than any other commercial beverage package in the marketplace. Additionally, a growing number of beverage marketers have successfully used CCL's bottle to distinguish their products in a competitive market.
The limited edition I.C. Light will be available through distributors and retailers in Western Pennsylvania and parts of Ohio and West Virginia while supplies last.
