Two PLF powder filling machines for baby milk formula are being shipped to Mexico as part of a major order from a worldwide leader in food and beverage processing. On arrival in South America, the new 30 head machines will be met by a team of PLF technicians, where they will be installed and commissioned in accordance with the customer’s specific requirements. The local operators will also receive thorough training in order to ensure effective and efficient running of the equipment for its entire lifecycle.
The new machines were specified for their ability to handle the powdered milk product gently, with no moving parts in contact with the powder during the filling process – significantly reducing the risk of contamination.
Mark Emond, Managing Director for PLF, said: “It’s great to complete this complex project and see the new filling machines heading off to the customer after months of planning and designing, plus hundreds of man-hours assembling and testing the equipment in our factory. The whole team have put in a tremendous amount of effort to get the order to this stage and we’re looking forward to hearing of its successful commissioning on the other side of the world!
“Of course, as one project is completed, another gets underway, so we’re already preparing the factory to start another assembly from scratch – which we’re sure will be just as successful.”
