Pliant Corporation Celebrated the Grand Opening of a New 10,000 Square Foot R&D Expansion
This investment is designed to keep Pliant on the forefront of packaging technology with state of the art equipment to insure that we continue to provide leading edge packaging solutions to our customers.
17/11/06 Pliant Corporation celebrated the grand opening of a new 10,000 square foot R&D expansion at 1701 First Avenue Chippewa Falls, WI. This new research facility will focus on new, innovative technologies to support and advance Pliant's commitment to our customers' growing needs for value-added flexible packaging. This investment is designed to keep Pliant on the forefront of packaging technology with state of the art equipment to insure that we continue to provide leading edge packaging solutions to our customers.
Additionally, this new facility provides Pliant Corporation research space, to continue its commitment to the U.S. Government in the development of advanced polymer packaging solutions to improve the comfort and safety of our servicemen and women. Based on this objective, Pliant dedicated this new facility to the past, present and future members of the Armed Forces from the Chippewa Valley who put their lives at risk in service of their country.
The ceremony agenda included the building dedication, ribbon cutting, future of Pliant, and remarks by Congressman Dave Obey, Senator Herb Kohl, Chippewa Falls Mayor Dan Hedrington and members of the Chamber of Commerce.
