Many are the novelties that Tecnomeccanica - the Tea division of Acma SpA - will present at the Tea & Coffee trade fair, to take place from 25th - 27th next March in Vienna.
The "poker of bags" exhibited by the company from Bologna in Vienna will highlight the solutions exploited for the widest variety of requirements.
T2 Prima for single chamber bags: the machine packages tea in single chamber bags, saving 40% in filter paper as opposed to the double chamber solutions. Furthermore, uniformity in horizontal batching, which is performed without tipping the filter paper, means that the tea is not squashed in any way, which on the contrary occurs between the lobes of a double chamber bag; it also reduces the amount of paper between the product and the water during the brewing process. This makes the T2 bag the preferred choice of herbal tea and nutraceutical producers.
T2 Prima FL for full leaf tea in single chamber bags: The bag produced by the T2 Prima full leaf machine packages full leaf tea. The rectangular shape of the bag enables the use of an overwrap, which improves its presentation to the end user. The fundamental innovation - safeguarded by a patent - is the synchronizing unit that integrates the alternating motion of the weight-controlled batcher and the continuous motion of the bag packaging system.
T10 Continua for double chamber bag in bags: the machine produces double chamber type bags with aroma-safe envelope for 25 or 50 filters. This solution provides major savings in wrapping material because just one heat-sealed package is used and there is no need for the cardboard box. It is the ideal solution for the distribution and consumption chain "Horeca" (Hotellerie-Restaurant-Café). In addition, this solution guarantees lower environmental impact thanks to savings in the required secondary packaging materials. The production performance (up to 500 bags per minute) and its high efficiency make T10 one of the most appreciated solutions of the market.
T4 Modula for double chamber knotted bags. A preview of the new ecologic filter bag produced according to the quality standards dictated by the latest requirements of the industry. The flow through bag is made with filter paper that is not heat-sealable, string in natural cotton and hard tag (also in eight-sided version). A double knot binds the string to the bag and to the tag; the bag's presentation is rather elegant because the string is completely concealed by the shape of the tag. T4 reaches a production rate of 250 bags/minute and is built according to modular principles, which make it extremely flexible to use.
The novelties do not end here; the company has indeed been strongly boosted thanks to the commitments of the product innovation department IPS (Innovative Packaging Solutions), which works in close contact with customers to analyse the market trend and to develop new solutions for the tea and coffee packaging industry.
Furthermore, the new organizational set-up of Acma, which as of 2012, interacts strongly in terms of technical-commercial relations with Volpak, a leader on the flexible packaging marketplace and another division of the Coesia group. This set-up has lead to expanding the spectrum of the offer in the reference sector: Today, Tecnomeccanica is consequently able to provide an extensive range of solutions for secondary packaging: from the flat pouch to the single serve portions through to packaging in doypacks.
