A new line of customized press-formed paperboard trays called Formations™ is especially suitable for branded frozen foods and bakery products. Made by Rock-Tenn, the trays provide numerous options in tray shape, lidding materials, compartment shape, embossing, and graphics. Positioned as a high-performance, dual-ovenable alternative to CPET and aluminum packages, advantages for the food processor include product differentiation and customized barrier properties if required. The trays do not impede metal detection systems from doing their jobs.
