Prestat, the British chocolatier to Her Majesty The Queen, has worked on developing the concept of a box of chocolates with the launch of a new Giant Jewel Box.
The packaging, designed by artist Kitty Arden, is designed so that customers can pull the ribbon, lift the lid and delve under the tissue paper.
Inside is an assortment of all Prestat’s bestselling chocolates – and every one of them is handmade in Great Britain. The box’s weight hopes to give it real presence and it contains milk, dark, white and praline chocolates and truffles.
In 1902, the chocolate shop called Prestat was opened in London by descendants of Louis Dufour, the man who created the world’s first recorded chocolate truffle.
Prestat’s reputation for making handmade chocolates quickly spread and many celebrities and royalty began buying into the brand.
Both The Queen Mother and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II granted the business a Royal Warrant and Prestat chocolates continue to be served at every major state banquet.
The new Jewel Box has an RRP of £80 and is stocked at the Prestat shop, 14 Princes Arcade, Piccadilly, London SW1Y 6DS and the online shop.
