Fresh food packaging specialist Linpac Packaging has added the "Rfresh MB 'range to its portfolio of sustainable trays for meat and fish products.
Fresh food packaging specialist Linpac Packaging has added the "Rfresh MB 'range to its portfolio of sustainable trays for meat and fish products. Rfresh MB trays contain up to 95% food grade recyclate, post-consumer PET, which does not compromise on Linpac performance compared with virgin polymer.
Key characteristics of the rPET tray include a high level of rigidity and an excellent barrier performance that is ideally suited to the packaging of poultry and fish products, keeping the contents fresher for longer. A PP base film layer provides stronger seal integrity and the tray can be closed with either a lock seal or peelable film.
The Rfresh MB trays complement the existing "Rfresh HB" and "PP Rfresh" ranges. The premium Rfresh HB trays are also made from 95% rPET and offer the maximum shelf life for both fish and meat.
The range incorporates a PP Rfresh minimum level of recycled content and has a shelf life Relatively low compared with others in the family Rfresh. However, the PP packs are suitable for use in the microwave and freezer.
