Rexam Fashions Custom Pumps for 'Lucky Number 6' Fragrance Packages from Lucky Brand Jeans

17/02/07 Rexam has fashioned separate custom pump assemblies for Lucky Number 6, new men’s and women’s fragrances from Lucky Brand Jeans. Aimed at young consumers 18 to 35 years old, the fragrance bottles capture the free-spirited irreverence of the Lucky fashion brand. The number 6 represents luck in Asian culture, and the design of the spray bottles reflects an Asian sensibility prominent in fashion, art and culture.
For each scent, Rexam Dispensing Systems starts with a super low profile pump (SLPP) mechanism featuring The Crimpless System. The custom men’s spray is a 5-piece assembly with an actuator and metal sleeve in black anodized aluminum divided by a striking silver reflective disk and topped by a dark red Surlyn crown, complementing the deep crimson shade of the spray bottle.
The women’s custom spray assembly is made of polypropylene plastic material molded to give the actuator a satin, textured feel. The actuator is custom colored in translucent red and sits atop a white frosted bottle adorned with red flowers.
Rexam supplies SLPP pumps for the men’s and women’s 30, 50 and 100 ml sizes and a compact SP5K pump for the 15 ml size. The custom actuators are made at Rexam’s facilities in France, with final assembly in the company’s U.S. plant. Rexam also supplies an SP5 pump for a Sofilux spray sampler vial. The Lucky Number 6 sampler is produced in conjunction with Le Papillon of New Brunswick, N.J.
