Rexam ready for Flora pro.activ redesign

Rexam Plastics in Deeside produce the lids for the spread, which will now feature the World Heart Federation logo. In recent years demand for functional foods has grown rapidly and Flora pro.activ is a major contributor to the successful growth of the functional spreads market.

Launched in 2000 the spread is the only cholesterol lowering spread to have been approved by the EU. Rexam’s development of a unique capability to label lids in line with its rotary thermoforming technology has helped the Deeside plant become the leading supplier of high quality, low cost lids for dairy and spreads tubs. It produces and labels lids for Unilever factories in several European locations as the technology increasingly substitutes printing with a higher quality alternative. Rexam Deeside is also a major supplier of thermoformed spreads tubs and a wide variety of convenience food packaging.
