The co.'s clear, transparent RoSeal™ acrylic tapes used to seal product cartons offer an added value for marketers that make use of the printed tapes. In addition to allowing decorative cartons to be seen, clear carton- and case-sealing tapes are suited for over-printing. They can prominently carry opening instructions, messages for safety and security notices right on the tape where recipients can easily see them. The tapes also never yellow or become hazy from U.V. degradation of the adhesive material beneath, the co. reports. Carton- and case-sealing tapes made with RoSeal adhesives seal out dust, moisture and pests that can penetrate if cartons aren't properly sealed. Carton sealing tapes made with RoSeal adhesives are also unaffected by temperatures as cold as minus 20 deg C. Tapes are usually applied at room temperature or above 0 deg C., enabling water-based adhesives to perform better than rubber-based or most solvent-based tapes, the co. says.
