After research and investment, Ross Burgers has unveiled fresh new packaging and a simplified recipe, in a bid to reflect a more ‘homestyle’ approach to cooking.
With independent research revealing that parents are more than ever feeling the pressure to provide wholesome, homely food for the whole family and studies highlighting that burgers are often considered as an uninteresting meal option, Ross Burgers is re-launching both its 2oz and 4oz products.
Both retailers and consumers will now see new packaging with clearer key messaging.
Ross Burgers is confident that the new design and changes in the manufacturing of the burgers will better reflect the product, focusing on the quality of the 100% British beef used and the fact that no artificial colours, flavouring or preservatives are used in the process.
The new packaging is set to reach stores by 19th October and the overhaul will see a shift away from its previous appearance, with a new design, helping the products to stand out within the frozen food category and further encourage consumers that burgers are an adaptable and convenient product for all the family.
Anne Claypole, marketing manager, Ross Burgers, explained: “In recent times there has been a real shift back towards rustic cooking, with people more concerned than ever about the provenance of their food.
“This reflected our decision to alter the look and feel of the Ross Burgers, to create more homemade looking products and packaging, which would be well received by our large customer base, without increasing the price.
“Packaging can make or break a brand and having conducted extensive research, we realised that the previous packaging did not truly represent the brand and did not reflect the quality of the product.
“Feedback from consumers showed that the products were not standing out in the freezer sections and we now hope that the new packaging will do just the opposite.”
The new Ross Burgers products will be available from 19th October in Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.
