Round Bag in Box for Australian Quality Oil
Proteco has moved to the bag-in-box solution using metalised bag for added protection of the oils which are very vulnerable oxidisation and UV light.
Oct 4 2010 --- Rapak Asia Pacific and Irwin & Sheehan launch a 2L premium alternative to bag-in-box for oils. Shaped as a cylinder, the outer tube container is produced by Irwin & Sheehan while the bag and tap are produced by Rapak Asia Pacific who also supplied the Autokap 300 filling machine to quality oil producer Proteco.
Proteco, based in Queensland Australia, is the first to adopt the new packaging for their range of cold ‘Pressed Purity’ oil. Proteco has moved to the bag-in-box solution using metalised bag for added protection of the oils which are very vulnerable oxidisation and UV light. The packaging format main benefit is the oil’s shelf life extension to 12 months.
Martin Evans, Rapak’s sales and marketing manager Australia, comments : "the bag and tap technology, combined with the increasing popularity of bag-in-box across many sectors, provides an ideal opportunity for liquid food and drink manufacturers to maximise product quality and shelf life while creating highly effective brand differentiation at approximately half the cost in comparison to metal or glass alternatives."
