Senoble Makes Eye-Catching Market Statement with Greiner
Greiner Packaging International is using a blow molding process to manufacture light and shatterproof yogurt packaging solutions. The French dairy firm Senoble has recently begun marketing a new strawberry yogurt in an innovative cup container made by Greiner Packaging International.
The yogurt product "Delisse Yaourt au lait entier (sur lit de confiture de fraises)" is blazing a new trail with its packaging, developed by Greiner Packaging International in close collaboration with Senoble. Günter Ausserwöger, Head of Division Kavo at Greiner Packaging International, explains: "This new premium packaging for Senoble is being produced via a blow molding process using special equipment. This type of production allows us to combine highly refined process knowledge with our expertise in the dairy product market in the best way possible."
Beautifully contoured, shatterproof, and light
The design of the new container highlights the high quality of what it contains. The lower third of the round, conical shape of the container is broken up by protrusions that resemble mountain peaks. This PP container holding 125 grams is highly stable, unbreakable and light compared to other ordinary glass packages.
Short distances and the "Marque Repère"
Greiner Packaging International plays a central role in the corporate group in regard to logistics thanks to its dense network of locations in Europe. The new container packaging is manufactured in Rastatt, Germany. This production facility is only around 150 kilometers from Senoble in Chateau Salins, where the containers are filled. The short transport distances minimize CO2 emissions, which protects the environment. The new yogurt product also bears the so-called "Marque Repère." This marking is used to identify products with a good price/performance ratio and environmental benefits.
Longstanding collaboration
The first joint packaging projects between Greiner Packaging and Senoble were conducted in France. Over the years, this collaboration has intensified and spread to the countries of Slovakia and Spain. A wide variety of technologies have been employed throughout the process. Founded in 1921 by Sophie Senoble, Senoble is a rapidly growing firm.
