Sharpak have added the SPSAir 56 to their family of SPSAir punnets. Sharpak were the first manufacturer to introduce vented holes in the sloping bases of soft fruit punnets reducing condensation and improving air flow even when the punnets are stacked. They can now offer 6 depths: SPSAir 40, 50, 56, 60, 70 and 85.
In addition Sharpak have developed a new 600gm strawberry punnet. Based on the successful SP400 size the new punnet is a deeper version of the 400 addressing consumer demand for promotional or heavier pack weights and also continues with the market requirement with the option for heat sealing or lidding.
Sharpak have expanded the standard SPS range with a 76mm deep punnet, with a new rib design which is lightweight and suitable for packing such items as grapes.
These will sit amongst a vast range of fruit punnets and table ready, multi cavity and varied bespoke packs – most of which contain up to 80 per cent recyclate from post-consumer waste.
Declan O’Sullivan, Managing Director of Sharpak Aylesham says, “Fruit Focus is a major event for us, and this year will be extra special. The addition of Groupe Gullin’s fruit range means our product portfolio has increased even further and we are excited about showcasing our latest developments in the world of fruit packaging.”
