Silliker Wins Two Analytical Accuracy Awards

Silliker received two 2010 AACC International Analytical Accuracy Awards: one for vitamin analyses at its Markham, Ontario, facility and the other for dietary fiber analyses at its Chicago facility. Since 1996, the awards have been presented to AACC Check Sample Service participants who submit the most accurate analyses in several testing series. Under the program, all AACC check sample participants are required to submit sample results six times each year.
Over the past four years, Silliker’s Markham laboratory received nine AACC awards in three testing series (vitamin analyses; proximate and mineral analyses; and vitamins, minerals and proximate analyses). The laboratory was previously recognized by AACC for its outstanding performance in the following years:
- 2006: Series VMP – Vitamins, Minerals and Proximate Analyses; Series VMP – Vitamin Analyses; Series VMP – Proximate and Mineral Analyses
- 2008: Series VMP – Vitamin Analyses; Series VMP – Proximate and Mineral Analyses
- 2009: Series VMP – Vitamins, Minerals and Proximate Analyses; Series VMP - Proximate and Mineral Analyses; Series VMP – Vitamin Analyses
Both facilities are accredited to ISO 17025, and offers analytical, technical and consulting services to retailers, processors, supplement and foodservice companies.
