05/11/08 Single-serve food packaging is a new product offered by Huhtamaki. This kind of food packaging is mostly used in hotels and catering but single-serve portions also enjoy a growing popularity among individual consumers.

The production of single-serve containers in the plant in Siemianowice (Poland) started in October 2008.

The containers have a diameter of 51mm, height of 27mm and capacity of 35ml. The top edge of the container is adapted for sealing with welded membrane (e.g. aluminium foil).

The tubs are used for packing a wide range of bread spreads: margarine, processed cheese, paste, honey, as well as dips, ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard.
