23/06/06 Tekni-Plex, Inc. has announced that it has formed a wholly-owned subsidiary, Tekni-Plex Technologies (Suzhou) Co Ltd, and is in the process of setting up a manufacturing operation in Suzhou, a city near Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China, in order to better meet the demands of the emerging and fast-growing Asian market.
Tekni-Plex Suzhou seeks to serve the company’s regional pharmaceutical, medical, closure liner and consumer products customers, as well as provide direct sales coverage for PVC specialty resins and compounds.
After careful evaluation of the market, Tekni-Plex decided that a local presence could allow the company to better serve its customers in Asia, which is a growing commercial region and an important base of operations to many of Tekni-Plex’s multinational clients.
