Tetra Pak has launched a separable top for Tetra Evero Aseptic, its carton bottle for white milk, to aid recycling, with a perforation in the cardboard that allows for the separation of the polyethylene top from the carton sleeve.
Unveiled at Anuga Food Tec 2012, the new design made it easy for consumers to separate the top and carton sleeve and recycle them separately, while the firm said that the package came at no additional cost to customers.
"The package helps customers to strengthen their brand image and environmental profile in a highly competitive market place by addressing a consumer demand for ever better solutions to facilitate recycling," Tetra Pak said in a statement.
