The innovative Hybrid Tube is an ingenious combination of different packaging materials like cardboard, plastic and metals. The Stäger development team has invented a new production process to create Hybrid Tubes with a combination of a wide spectrum of materials. These cylindrical packs can be made in a variety of configurations and sizes, combining fresh carton with transparent PET or using cardboard alone for the cylinder. The highly decorated tubes can be constructed with one or multiple carton or transparent sections.
Bottom and lid variations out of white metal, injection molding or PET are possible. Individual designs can be integrated in bottoms and lids by pasting in carton discs or colored components. Multiple surface finishing techniques such as offset, gravure- and screen-printing complemented by matt or glossy lacquer and hot foil, blind and relief embossing as well as cold foil laminating are technically feasible. Window patching, semi transparent or frosty PET components and carrier handles for the cylinder complete the astonishing design options. This new packaging concept complies with the requirements for direct food contact.
