Wanted: Good Summer to Suit Largest Barbecue Packaging range
The D13, D15, D18 ranges in APET in clear and black form the backbone of the portfolio with a mixture of cavity, shingle, barbecue, sausage, ribs, chops, kebab and grill steak trays for adults and children alike.
26/06/08 Together, Dunbia Dungannon Meats and Sharp Interpack (Sharpak) provide over 30 different styles and designs of barbecue packaging to the key retailers in Ireland and the UK. In fact, it’s a portfolio that represents, by far, the largest selection of barbecue meat trays anywhere in Europe to meet the new ‘Alfresco Gastro’ season. Both Dunbia and Sharpak have introduced some new lines and significant enhancements.
The D13, D15, D18 ranges in APET in clear and black form the backbone of the portfolio with a mixture of cavity, shingle, barbecue, sausage, ribs, chops, kebab and grill steak trays for adults and children alike. An example is the D13-37 clear smooth-wall tray designed for Sainsbury’s barbecue kebabs. Compatability with processor’s sealing machines combined with Sharpak’s increased level of technical support enables ease of setting up, packing and consistent and attractive on shelf presentation.
The new 70mm deep shingled burger tray (4 burgers) and the 30mm deep oval (2 burgers) were selected for the Sainsbury’s ‘Taste the Difference’ range and insisted on by the retailer because of their recycle content manufactured in r-APET the material uses a minimum of 50% approved post consumer recyclate (PCR) content. Sharpak and Dunbia clearly share the Sainsbury’s vision focused on materials that are either easily recyclable or compostable.
