In brief: Carbon reduction measures
Crown launched its Twentyby30 program, outlining twenty measurable ESG goals that the rigid packaging supplier aims to complete by 2030. The objectives include the reduction of Scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), targeting a 50 percent combined reduction in absolute Scope 1 (fuel) and Scope 2 (electricity) emissions, reducing water usage by 20 percent and sending zero waste to landfill. As part of the company's pledge to advance its contribution to climate action, it has had its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°C, the most ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement.
