Sidel has launched a new can filler coined EvoFILL Can to respond to the growing can market. According to the company, EvoFILL Can can guarantee food safety, minimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), cater to numerous can sizes and swiftly change between still and carbonated beverages. Furthermore, without compromising the performance of the line, a wide range of beverage temperatures can now be processed: beer can be filled up to 18°C and carbonated soft drinks over 20°C. All of this eliminates the need for a chilling unit, thus achieving energy savings.

As part of the global relaunch of the KMS Hair start.style.finish professional range for salons, RPC Zeller Plastik Germany, part of the RPC Bramlage Division, is supplying new bespoke closure solutions to underline the global style of the new style-prepping shampoos, conditioners and treatments. The injection-molded closures combine a high-quality appearance with the user convenience of easy and accurate dosing to complement the premium image of the KMS brand.
Flint Group, producer of flexographic plates and sleeves solutions, has announced the latest addition of a new flexo thermal plate to its nyloflex Xpress Thermal Processing System, the nyloflex XVH Digital. The nyloflex XVH Digital is the first inherently flat top dot plate of the thermal plate family, with a unique formulation optimized to be processed on the nyloflex Xpress Thermal Processor. The versatile plate is designed to serve the flexible packaging and Label market, delivering high-quality print results on various substrates with all ink systems.

Amcor, a global leader in high-quality, flexible packaging solutions, has announced plans to invest more than US$25 million to upgrade its Madison facilities starting in 2018 and into 2019 to expand capacity, improve quality and reduce waste while updating technology. The planned investment includes the acquisition of new machinery and updates to existing infrastructure to enable expanded service offerings for customers in the medical, pharmaceutical, food and home/personal care markets.
IMCD, a distributor of specialty chemicals and food ingredients, has completed the acquisition of the outstanding shares of Velox, a European distributor with a focus on specialties for the plastics, composites, additives, rubber, paints and coatings industries. With this acquisition, IMCD further strengthens its position as a distributor of specialty plastics and additives.

KHS Group has been awarded the Green Star Packaging Award for its innovative packaging system: Nature MultiPack, which holds cans together with dots of adhesive instead of shrink films. The packaging also has a convenient carrying handle, which helps to keep the pack stable, and the individual alignment of the respective containers hopes to communicate effective marketing messages. The new packaging system requires up to 85 percent less material than the conventional multipack and reduces energy consumption during production by a maximum of 67 percent.
