With its base being water, the product is said to be environment-friendly. It seals and creates a formidable bond between coatings of flexible packaging materials. In addition, it is compatible with Gravure and Flexo application processes to produce “high-quality” e-commerce bags.
Cortec announced a new version of its proprietary VpCI-126 Film Technology, a corrosion inhibiting film that was developed with a high amount of post-consumer recycled content for the purpose of efficient recovery, recycling and reuse of resources to minimize the economy’s negative ecological footprint. It combines the latest film technology with effective corrosion protection for all metal products. The film will help Cortec’s customers meet their sustainability goals as in Europe. Cortec’s films are produced in the Baranja region, Croatia.
Jägermeister switched from solid board to corrugated board for its shipping packaging. The weight of the packaging is reduced by 38.5% on average. Combined with an increase in the proportion of recycled paper to over 90%, less than half the resources are needed in production. Based on 19.4 million cartons, the conversion saves 249 metric tons of CO2 annually compared to the previous packaging.
Nestlé nominated Rainer Blair, president and CEO of Danaher, a global science and technology company, and Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch, former State Secretary and Director of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, for election to its Board of Directors.
