AET is building on this technical and operating platform to now offer unique, competitively priced custom coating services from the Company's Covington, Virginia facility. High speed, wide-web capability, and ability to coat on a variety of extensible substrates, differentiates AET from others in the industry. The Company offers a variety of aqueous primers and coatings for substrates in gauges of 40 and up in both oriented and cast films including: polypropylene, polyester, nylon, and polyethylene, as well as nonwovens, paper, and paperboard. The AET coating system is especially adept at handling water based top coatings and delicate, thin gauge films. It also has built in capabilities that offer customers the possibility of significant savings. For example, the two stations allow AET to make single passes on jobs that some coaters need a more costly two passes to complete. The wide width of AET's coater also provides distinct efficiency advantages. AET coating services include barrier coatings for oxygen and moisture, heat activated surfaces, anti corrosive and other protective surfaces, and bonding surfaces for adhesion and superior print quality.
