For long term repeat usage of pallets, plastic pallets are definitely the right choice. These pallets are ideal for food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries and do not require fumigation to ISPM15. While when bought new plastic pallets are comparatively more expensive than wooden ones, it is important to consider their value if they are to be used repeatedly. Remember, plastic pallets are available second hand which may be a little more budget friendly.
When simply storing goods inside a warehouse, wooden pallets are an ideal, and much more cost effective solution. Wooden pallets are also perfect for use as global export pallets as long as they are fumigated to ISPM15. Furthermore, wooden pallets can be re-used and recycled.
