ZORK® SPK, the re-sealable closure for sparkling wine, has been awarded a German Packaging Award for packaging innovation and design.
237 submissions across all types of packaging were judged based on novelty, functionality, performance, aesthetic, economic, environmental and safety factors. The ZORK® SPK was one of just 21 winning entries selected for a German Packaging Award. The ceremony took place on 9th of November at the Brau Beviale technology exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany.
Judith Candy, Scholle European Business Development Manager for ZORK said; "We are thrilled that ZORK® SPK has been given such recognition for a significant innovation. Wineries using ZORK® SPK have found that the closure is popular with their customers and helps their wine stand out in a crowded marketplace, thus improving their sales."
The German Packaging Award is the latest in a series of prestigious awards for the ZORK® SPK including a Starpack Award in the UK in September, 2011.
By virtue of winning, the ZORK® SPK is now qualified for the worldwide World-Star packaging competition held by the World Packaging Organization.
