13 Feb 2024 --- According to Gilles Swyngedauw, vice president of corporate social responsibility and product sustainability for Cosmetics & Fragrance Packaging at Albéa Group, biomaterials are not inherently superior to fossil-based materials. Swyngedauw warns that what may work for the automotive or textile industries might not work in the packaging industry due to limited recycling streams. “Product safety is part of what we call responsible packaging, and we cannot compromise on that.”
