Kite Packaging showcased its mobile, rechargeable workstations at Packaging Innovations 2025, UK. Emma Burgess, advanced apprentice at Kite Packaging tells us about the labels that can be run from the workstations’ printer. We also discuss how the solution taps into EPR-compliant packaging.

Hi Emma.
Hello Emma, what can you tell us about the new products you're showcasing?
He packaging innovations.
So today we're showcasing our mobile rechargeable workstations.
This is a desktop on wheels, which is ideal for any team leaders or shift managers who need to be in multiple places at once.
We are powering these for our 5 and 12 amp batteries which are available on our website, and these are rechargeable.
OK, very nice and what are you running from the machine here today?
So on our stand today we actually have our zebra linerless printer.
This is a label which doesn't have a backing.
Mhm.
And what can you tell us about the sustainability credentials of the labels?
So landless labels do not include the glassing backing that you see on a regular roll of labels.
This saves paper as as saves waste going into landfill.
And how does the solution tap into demands for EPR compliant packaging?
So this solution is ideal as it means you're using less plastic waste, you're being fully recyclable and using paper.
