Addressing regional market needs, Al Bayader International - the innovative Middle East-based manufacturer of comprehensive packaging solutions - has developed a new range of food packaging products which will be produced at its $20m manufacturing facility in Jebel Ali.
The new additions will be showcased at Gulfood 2011 - the Middle East's largest food, drink, foodservice and hospitality event - between 27 February and 2 March at the Dubai International Exhibition & Convention Centre. This development is a further demonstration of Al Bayader's vision to provide the F&B industry with added value, food packaging solutions for customers.
Nidal Haddad, CEO, Al Bayader International explained that the company endeavours to anticipate market needs and as a consequence a significant part of its annual profits are re-invested in research and development. "The region is maturing and there is growing demand not only for innovative packaging products, but also for sustainable food packaging solutions. Al Bayader is increasingly being asked to custom-design and produce products for leading brands and outlets such as Paul's, Carrefour, Spinneys, Panda, Le Marche and Emirates Flight Catering," explained Haddad.
"By providing more options on products while simplifying operations and reducing inventories, we have also made vast improvements on the food safety, quality and display aspect as we offer the market with innovative solutions."
"Food appeal is a key ingredient to a retailer increasing sales and profitability. Two areas where we have made major breakthroughs are food safety and extending shelf life by providing solutions to enhance food integrity, thereby reducing food wastage, and consequent operational cost."
Al Bayader will showcase its indigenously developed pASTRIPAC line for the pastry and confectionery industry, which rolled out of the Jebel Ali manufacturing facility in November 2010 as part of an innovative line up of products such as crystal clear PET containers and multipurpose PET cups with double-action lids which will provide Gulfood visitors with a glimpse into the company's vision for the future of food packaging.
"The pASTRIPAC line is the first phase of a new line up of innovative, multi-purpose and multifunctional food packaging solutions," said Haddad. "We have invested in the latest technology at our modern manufacturing facilities which allows for product development flexibility based on feedback from the market," revealed Haddad.
Haddad will also speak about 'Understanding the Supply Chain - A Step towards Mature Business Practice' in the Gulfood Conference on 28 February where he will share insights on how important and relevant the food packaging supply chain is to the F&B industry and how a strong and efficient supply chain provides for stronger retail market.
Al Bayader will exhibit at Stand S1-D2, Sheikh Saeed Hall of the Dubai International Convention Centre.
