ArjoWiggins Protects Cognac Bottles
Printed on an ultra-fragile substrate (STES), the label contains security features of level II and securities of 3rd level, that can be authenticated by the Cognac Ferrand’s inspectors using dedicated equipment.
16/12/06 In order to protect its brand and its consumers, the company Cognac Ferrand asked ArjoWiggins Security to secure its Landy Cognac bottles. The worldwide leader for security papers, supplier to governments and central banks, accepted the challenge and made its know-how in the security field available to the cognac producer. Both companies worked in cooperation and developed a label which combines authentication and tamper evidence functions.
From now on each cognac bottle meant for the Asian market is delivered with this highly secure label. Printed on an ultra-fragile substrate (STES), the label contains security features of level II and securities of 3rd level, that can be authenticated by the Cognac Ferrand’s inspectors using dedicated equipment. Placed on the cap, any removal attempt leads to delamination of the face stock. It is then impossible to remove the label from the substrate in one piece, to re-position or re-use it.
Developed entirely by ArjoWiggins Security (graphic design and production), the labels are provided ready for application.
