barkTHINS®, innovators of the snacking chocolate category, will unveil a complete package refresh for its entire product line as well as showcase its limited edition holiday tin at this year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago, IL from May 19th to 21st – Booth #1599.

According to a recent report, ethical claims such as Fair Trade certified brands are up 74 percent from 2010 to 2014. Consumers have become increasingly savvy when purchasing groceries and snacks, and more are looking for ethically responsible brands. In response, barkTHINS new packaging will continue to feature their affiliations with Fair Trade Ingredient Certified™ and Non-GMO Project Verified organizations above the brand’s logo, allowing consumers to easily recognize and seek out the snacks with certifications that fit their lifestyle. This revised packaging will be available on shelves starting in June 2015.

“Our goal is to provide the best snacking chocolate experience by making a product that is big on taste and simple on ingredients,” said Michael Parisi, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our consumer is seeking out foods that have clean yet responsible ingredients which is why we made it a focus to highlight our certifications and introduce our new packaging at this year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo.”

In addition to unveiling new product packaging, barkTHINS will showcase its Limited Edition Dark Chocolate Peppermint Pretzel 12oz holiday tin, available to ship starting on August 15, 2015. The new tin will complement the Limited Edition Dark Chocolate Peppermint Pretzel 4.7oz bag, first introduced during the 2014 holiday season, offering consumers a must-have item on any holiday hostess’s shopping list.
