This May Kraft Foods will mark Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee with the launch of a limited edition 400g Cadbury Dairy Milk milk chocolate bar in a heritage pack.
The limited edition packaging features cues to the Cadbury Dairy Milk brand’s heritage and includes elements of the pack design that was in-market when the Queen was crowned in 1952.
The Cadbury brand was first awarded a Royal Warrant as ‘manufacturer of cocoa and chocolate’ by Queen Victoria in 1854. Queen Elizabeth II also granted the brand a warrant of appointment in 1955, which appears on the heritage pack, as well as many other Cadbury-branded products.
Susan Nash, Trade Communications Manager at Kraft Foods, commented: “This summer is set to be full of celebratory events, with the nation revelling in everything British and coming together to enjoy great events such as The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
“For these occasions, consumers will be looking to buy sharing-size treats to enjoy with family and friends, as well as commemorative packs to mark the event.
“The 400g bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk, which caters for sharing occasions and taps in to consumers’ sense of patriotism and excitement around these celebrations, is perfect for such occasions.”
