Candesce(R) Hygienic Food Packaging added to Potlatch's bleached paperboard line

06/02/06 Hygienic Food Packaging Paperboard (HFP), designed for food packaging applications where product purity and cleanliness are paramount, is being added to Potlatch Forest Products Corporation's line of Candesce(R) branded bleached paperboard grades, the company has announced.
Potlatch Forest Products Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Potlatch Corporation.
The clay-coated, bleached white paperboard is Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliant and produced on the company's No. 2 board machine at Lewiston, Idaho. The No. 2 machine is equipped with stringent process controls and equipment specifically designed for paperboard cleanliness, which is critical for food packagers concerned about harmful contaminants and bacteria. Paperboard produced on Lewiston's No. 2 machine has been used by converters around the world for years in liquid packaging applications demanding the highest of cleanliness controls.
Candesce HFP is available in calipers ranging from 10 to 26 point, and may be manufactured with or without polyethylene coating.
