Careful with glass

A ZECCHETTI combination depalletiser/lowerator, specifically designed for handling delicate containers, has been installed at the Bury St Edmunds factory of Haywards Pickles. Installed and commissioned by Planet Flowline, of Peterborough, the system is for use with glass containers.

A ZECCHETTI combination depalletiser/lowerator, specifically designed for handling delicate containers, has been installed at the Bury St Edmunds factory of Haywards Pickles. Installed and commissioned by Planet Flowline, of Peterborough, the system is for use with glass containers. During discharge from the palletiser onto an intermediate transfer unit, the jars are totally surrounded by a transfer carriage which ensures they cannot topple as they are swept from the layer pad. After this the layer is lowered onto the line at operating height before transfer to a single filing station and downstream cleaning equipment.
