Eastman to Introduce New Generation Copolyester at K 2007

At K 2007, Eastman will also announce the European availability of Eastar EB062 copolyester for custom container applications. This polymer is the only extrusion blow-molded resin to offer a combination of water-like clarity, toughness and melt strength.

24/08/07 Eastman Chemical Company will introduce a new generation of copolyester polymers at K 2007, October 24-31, Messe Düsseldorf Fairgrounds, Düsseldorf, Germany, Hall 5, Booth H04. This innovative polymer family offers higher heat resistance to address growing industry needs for differentiated performance combined with design flexibility. The introduction constitutes part of the company’s efforts to expand its specialty plastics portfolio across a broad range of markets.

At K 2007, Eastman will also announce the European availability of Eastar EB062 copolyester for custom container applications. This polymer is the only extrusion blow-molded resin to offer a combination of water-like clarity, toughness and melt strength. It provides enormous flexibility for designing crystal clear liquid containers with an integrated handle. A full production demonstration of Eastar EB062 copolyester will take place during the show at Bekum Maschinenfabriken Gmbh booth C04 in Hall 14.

A range of other specialty polyesters, copolyesters and cellulosics will also be highlighted at K 2007, including Eastar, DuraStar, Spectar, Cadence, Embrace, and Neostar polymers.
