Ezviz partners with Plastic Bank cut waste and boost circularity
Ezviz, the Chinese home device company, has partnered with global deposit program Plastic Bank to expand the scope of its Green Initiative.
Ezviz aims to fund the removal of 20,000 kilograms of plastic waste from the environment this year, the equivalent to one million plastic bottles, from 29 communities across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
Plastic Bank’s circular economy model is said to support local collectors in turning discarded plastic into valuable resources.
“With Ezviz, we’re proving that every action, no matter how small, can ripple outward to protect the environment and uplift communities,” says David Katz, CEO and founder at Plastic Bank.
Sophie Zhang, global brand director at Ezviz, adds: “Our approach is holistic: creating products and partnerships that make a real difference. We believe in plastic reduction that’s people-centered, tech-enabled, and globally scaled.”
In 2024, the smart home security and technology company reportedly prevented 22.3 tons of plastic waste through the use of recycled materials in its robot vacuum portfolio.
Its battery cameras such as EB3 further exemplify this eco-conscious approach, combining solar power to save up to 80% energy with approximately 80% recyclability in its components, and packaged in 100% recyclable materials.
Ezviz aims to prioritize paper-based and recycled materials, indicating that it removes one million bubble wrap bags per month. It also replaced printed labels with laser etching, reducing 1.573 tons of paper in 2024.
