In a tunnel at the Taxomatic’s infeed, a UV lamp destroys up to 99.8% of all microorganisms located in the lid area. The cans are then passed through a worm to the infeed startwheel. Using a food-quality cold glue and a special centering bell, machine places a sheet of foil on the lid. In a separate carousel, the lid is gently pressed on and molded to the can’s shape.
