Madeyoulook Brand Design Consultants have re-branded Applewood smoke flavoured cheese for Norseland, creating a new brand identity, packaging, new website launch and all marketing communications.
Madeyoulook Brand Design Consultants have re-branded Applewood smoke flavoured cheese for Norseland, creating a new brand identity, packaging, new website launch and all marketing communications.
The consultancy created the new identity to reflect the delicious unique smoky taste of the cheese and to encourage more usage.
Applewood Cheese was created in 1965 in Ilchester, a small village deep in the heart of Somerset.
“We wanted to build an image for the brand which reflected this. We developed a world of smoky loveliness for the brand and set it in the heart of the British countryside. We re-positioned the brand from a cheeseboard product, to a cheese that is perfect for more occasions, cooking, recipes and just nibbling” says Brenda Moss, Brand Director.

The new brand is built around a little signpost set in the British countryside. The natural landscape has been created in warm tones to reflect the unique smoky taste and aroma of the cheese.
Recipes feature strongly on the website, with a recipe of the month page. There is also a pub guide map where you can find British pubs local to you serving Applewood cheese on their menu”. The website tells the story of the cheese and creates the perfect platform to learn more about the smoky taste and how you can enhance your recipes with this cheese.
