Metcalfe’s Skinny is adding a new Salted Caramel flavor to its popcorn range. The new flavor will launch in sharing and impulse packs and is said to contain 30% less fat than other Salted Caramel popcorn products. The new variant will feature Metcalfe’s updated packaging design, which was introduced last year across the company’s popcorn products. Featuring a more simplified layout and messaging, the new look is being rolled out across its entire range of Popcorn Crisps, Popcorn Thins and Rice Cakes.
Andy Verney, head of impulse at Metcalfe’s, said: “Recent trends indicate a rise in consumer demand for sweet and savory flavors and lighter, better-for-you snacks, so we’re excited about Salted Caramel – a product that ticks both boxes. We’re also pleased to extend the updated packaging design across the range, which provides much more impact and successfully brings Metcalfe’s lighter brand personality to life.” Metcalfe’s Skinny Salted Caramel will be available from the end of May. 75g sharing bags retail at £1.59 and 25g impulse bags retail at 79p.
