Retro Jar Gives Clarity to Fox's Glacier Mints
Fox’s Confectionery has selected the 4.7 L size, the biggest in the RPC Blackburn confectionery jar range.
06/06/08 Fox’s Confectionery has selected a high-clarity PET jar supplied by RPC Containers Blackburn to provide weigh-out packaging for its famous Glacier Mints and Glacier Fruits brands.
A large format jar is an essential requirement for Fox’s important cash & carry and wholesale markets, who supply independent confectionery retailers across the UK. The company required a durable and eye-catching packaging medium for the two Glacier ranges and was attracted to RPC Blackburn’s recently launched range of retro designs.
The injection stretch blow moulded containers combine the look of the traditional sweet jar with the modern benefits of PET lightweight, shatterproof, easy to handle and with a crystal clear finish that ensures products are displayed to their best effect.
It was the latter that drove Fox’s decision to switch from the PVC jar it had previously used. “Brand image is extremely important and the RPC Blackburn jar shows the individually-wrapped sweets at their best,” explains Tracey Mattock, Marketing Manager at Fox’s Confectionery.

The large decoration area provides the ideal space for distinctive labels featuring the famous Fox’s polar bear, while colour matching caps from RPC Halstead blue for Glacier Mints and red for Glacier Fruits provide further brand differentiation.
