Rexam makes Looza a winner

Tropicana-Looza NV has turned to Rexam Glass Dongen to produce the bottles for a new range of products for its Looza brand juices. Looza produces premium, non-alcoholic fruit juices aimed especially at the Horeca (catering) sector. The company is part of Tropicana Europe, headquartered in Brussels, and currently has a 70% share of the Horeca market in Belgium. The Looza brand has recently launched a new range of cocktails called Looza Jinx, all of which are packaged in bottles produced by Rexam Glass in Dongen, The Netherlands. The product has been very well received amongst consumers throughout Belgium, Luxemburg and Italy. Feedback has also been positive in terms of brand name and packaging. Rexam Glass manufactured the 275ml longneck bottles in flint glass for all three Looza Jinx varieties. The clear glass allows the drinks’ colourful contents to show through. The longneck version is a new application for this customer, deviating from its standard juice bottles to appeal to a younger target market, which prefers longneck bottles. In addition to the new style, the bottom recess of the bottles has also been altered from a half-moon shape to a ‘globe’ to provide optimum protection throughout the internal transport system. In terms of decoration, the bottles are finished with colourful body labels that match the colour of each drink as well as silver neck labels. The premium quality of the finished package reflects the nature of its contents and is quite fitting for the drinks’ target market. Looza juices are of the highest quality, made from 100% pure fruit juice, and are positioned to appeal to consumers who prefer new and original drinks. As it is a non-alcoholic drink, Looza Jinx is also positioned as a multi-purpose beverage. It serves as a refreshing drink anytime of day or night, or can be mixer on an evening out.
