SmartSeal and IPN Sign Packaging Agreement

02/05/08 SmartSeal AS and IPN Group, specialising in valved beverage closures and flexible packaging respectively, have signed an agreement covering development, manufacturing and sales of the patented SmartSeal SIP technology.

The agreement has led to the development of the IPN Clean Valve, a pouch fitment containing SmartSeal SIP technology. The product was launched at the Interpack exhibition in Düsseldorf.

The Clean Valve pouch fitment, containing SmartSeal SIP technology, is unique in its functionality and design. The main product feature is a suction-activated valve that provides spill control and thus increased user convenience in the growing market of on-the-go consumption.

“Working with IPN puts SmartSeal in a premium position when introducing the SmartSeal SIP technology to the market for flexible packaging,” said CEO of SmartSeal, Jan Skoglund.
