The new look pot will be on shelf from April 5th 2010. Georgina Edwards, Vaseline Brand Manager, commented: “The redesign of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly pot will give it a fresh contemporary look and bring it in line with the rest of the Vaseline range. The product is a staple in every bathroom cabinet and is a multipurpose must-have beauty essential for shoppers. The re-launch is expected to reignite interest in the classic brand which will help to drive more growth in the skincare category.”
Vaseline Petroleum Jelly was launched in 1870 and has built a strong consumer base over the years. The product is a key essential in handbags and bathrooms across the world, with a tub of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly sold every 39 seconds. The launch of the new look Vaseline pot will be the first makeover the iconic product has seen since the 1970s. The new Vaseline pot will feature more of the brand’s trademark blue for increased on shelf stand out, along with an easy to open flip top lid for convenience. A ‘stack and lock’ mechanism will allow it to be stacked easily on shelf. The pot will be available in three sizes: 50ml, 100ml and 250ml.
