Elopak has supplied Orkla Home & Personal Care (OHPC) with its D-Pak refill cartons for the launch of its new Klar laundry products in the Nordics.
OHPC is bringing six redesigned laundry care products to stores in Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden. The collaboration marks the first rollout of Elopak’s D-Pak cartons on the Danish market.
“The D‑Pak carton format provides retailers with a shelf‑ready product with eye‑catching standout,” says Ida Marie Grimsrud of OHPC.
“The 360‑degree carton surface gives us the unrivaled packaging communication space to help this rebranding of our famous Nordic Klar brand make a splash in well‑established and new markets.”
OHPC first launched its Klar brand in D-Pak refills in 2017 in Norway, where the FMCG manufacturer originates.

The producer has now switched to a new line of D‑Pak cartons that contain a new unique mix of circular (recycled) PE and bio‑circular polymers, described as renewable.
Expanding refill
The new line is now standard across all D‑Pak cartons for OHPC products, according to Elopak. Other OHPC products sold in D-Pak cartons include OMO, Comfort, Grumme, and Lumme.
The launch brings new varieties to the Klar brand, including three laundry detergents and three fabric softeners, available in Normal stores across the Nordic region.
Elopak has also provided refill cartons for OHPC’s Jiff cleaner.
Last year, a study showed that D-Pak cartons have a lower environmental impact than plastic pouch alternatives used for similar household care products.
Elopak also produces food-grade cartons for the dairy industry. Recently, Emilie Olderskog, global head of Sustainability at Elopak, discussed how the company’s cartons prevent and reduce food waste.
